The mom of Kendrick Lamar‘s children, Whitney Alford, has broken her silence on internet as rumors continue to surface regarding his not so far rap beef with Drake.
On Sunday, May 12, Alford took to her Instagram Story to share a video and message. The mom of two’s post appeared to be the 1st time she took to the platform to publicly share content amid Kendrick’s rap beef with Drake.
Furthermore, Alford appeared to be celebrating her birthday on Sunday. Additionally, the date marked the Mother’s Day holiday.
Ultimately, Alford shared a message in celebration of herself and her fellow moms.
“Happy Birthday to Me,” she wrote, before including. “Happy Mother’s Day to all my real ones!”
In the video, the mom of Lamar’s kids wore a black and white headband, appeared to rock short black curls, and sported a black smock and white T-shirt as she sat in what appeared to be a pottery studio. As the video played, Alford showcased the progress of her creating a bowl.
Social media users took to X, formerly familiar as Twitter, following Alford’s post. One user appeared to think Alford may have an exclusive interview coming the public’s way soon.
As The Shade Room previously reported, in Drake’s ‘Family Matters’ diss against Lamar, he referenced Alford when he asked why Lamar allegedly relocated from California to New York.
“Why did you move to New York? Is it ’cause you livin’ that bachelor life? / Proposed in 2015, but don’t wanna make her your actual wife / I’m guessin’ this marriage ain’t happenin’, right? / ‘Cause we know the girls that you actually like / Your darkest secrets are comin’ to light”
But, this wasn’t the only mention Drizzy made of Alford in the song. “On some Bobby s**t, I wanna know what Whitney need / All that puppy love was over in y’all late teens”
