Mariah Carey, the iconic singer famous for her 5-octave voice range and a string of hits that have defined decades, has always been one to loved by public.
It’s not shocking that her twins, Moroccan and Monroe, inherited a bit of that limelight by default.
As they have grown older, their goals and personalities have come into fame, and like any parent, Carey has been protective and discerning about their aim to the limelight.
Recently, news surfaced about Nick Cannon’s idea of forming a band with his children. The concept appear innovative – a chance for his kids to connection and potentially pave their way in the entertainment industry.
Given Cannon’s history in music and tv, it looked to be a feasible decision that could bring forth a unique blend of talent.
Carey’s daughter, Monroe, was her 1st born.
The “Obsessed” singer wrote in her 2020 memoir, “The Meaning of Mariah Carey,” that she wanted both of her kids to share her initials.
She noticed that her daughter’s moniker was inspired by Marilyn Monroe; but, Carey refers to her as Roe. (Unlike Moroccan, Monroe doesn’t have an middle name.)
Much like her mom, the youngster proved she has a set of pipes when she performed “Always Be My Baby” onstage in Los Angeles in 2017.
In a 2023 interview on the “Howie Mandel Does Stuff” podcast, Cannon discover the twins as “so intelligent” and “in tune with their own values.” “It’s my 1st time having 12-year-olds, and I have a set of them! And we’re having original conversations,” he stated.
